Join us for our inaugural GO Series concert! This new fourth Sunday of the month concert will feature a short set of music by Folias Duo followed by a set of music by our guests, mezzo-soprano Olivia Vargas and guitarist Michael Pierce.

The Folias Music Go Series are monthly live streamed concerts every 4th Sunday that present Folias Duo with musical guests and feature fresh, undiscovered and/or newly written music for soloists and small groups.
Suggested donation of $10/person. All donations split 50/50 between the artists.
Olivia Vargas is a singer-songwriter based in Grand Rapids, MI. Olivia attended Aquinas college and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Music. Through the later part of her college career, Olivia began to create connections in the West Michigan music scene and started playing in local bands. As the keyboard player of the band Conrad Shock + the Noise, she has had the opportunity to play in countless venues stretching from West Michigan to New York City. The band won the 2016 WYCE Emerging Artist of the Year and put out their second album in the fall of 2019. Olivia also formed her own band, August, during her time at Aquinas. August released their debut album, Bloom, in 2019 earning them two nominations for the WYCE Jammy Awards in February of 2020. August released an EP titled Chaos & Comfort in July of 2020.
Michael Pierce is a guitarist based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Michael began playing guitar at a young age in his hometown of Algonquin, Illinois. He graduated from Aquinas College with a degree in Classical Guitar Performance (2017) under Andrew Bergeron and has had lessons with world renowned guitarists such as Denis Azabagic, Johannes Moller, Goran Ivanovic, and Sharon Isbin. Michael maintains a busy performance schedule, performing at weddings, corporate functions, churches, and venues across the Midwest.
