Yesterday we did a radio interview on KUNM with Cristina Baccin on Raíces Collective of KUNM.
Raices, meaning roots, plays a variety of Latin themed music.
We popped over to the studio after our library gig and had a chance to play three of our new pieces. First we played Milonga Gris, an arrangement of a composition by Carols Aguirre. Aguirre is an Argentine composer and pianist who blends classical music with Argnetine folk. Next we played my new composition, Octopus Fantasama, a chacarera that I wrote that was appropriately aired right after World Environmental Day and Astor Piazzolla’s Escualo.
