This interdisciplinary tango event in Michigan combined art, music, and dance all about the legendary Argentine composer and bandoneónist Astor Piazzolla. We talk about the place of Piazzolla in the history of tango, the new trio arrangements we did for the event organized by Jorge Broggio, the nature of improvising both dance and music, and present some special footage with Carolina del Rivero and Donato Juárez who danced an impromptu demo to Andrew’s arrangement of Oblivion.
